EDIT 7500 Individual Integration Project ideas

At this point I am thinking about doing something with SMART Board technology. We just got several of them delivered to our school, and they will be set up for use in at least one of our computer labs within the next few weeks. I have never had the chance to use a SMART Board in a classroom setting, and this might be the opportunity I've been looking for. By working closely with my LSTC, I might be able to get something worked out where I can bring my class to the lab for the different parts of this project. Dr. Moore mentioned stepping outside of what we already know. Well, this would be just that. Now, as far as what I'd specifically be covering, that remains to be seen. Obviously it would be AKS/GPS aligned. Let me know what you think, Blogger Buddies! Thanks!

I think this is an awesome idea for a project. I am very interested in Smart Boards as well. I think that some of the schools in my area just started using them this school year. I will do some reading/research over the next couple of days and see if I can come up with some suggestions for implementing your project.

I know I am motivated to really learn how to use a technology tool when I have an authentic reason for using it. I believe you will be able to develop a GPS aligned learning opportunity that will be enhanced by the use of your new SMART Boards. I can’t wait to see what develops!

Mark,

Your project idea has potential for great success. We have some SMART Boards in our school system, along with the Promethean Active Boards, and all of our elementary schools have 3M Digital Media Systems. The interactive white board is a classroom of the future. SMART has been at the forefront of this for a long time.

You might have seen this before but here is a link to site that has a lot of resources specially for SMART technologies.
